If you love to read, it’s always a great time to find your next great book. Today I’m sharing 8 books you won’t be able to put down. I know, because I’ve read them all!
I went through my Goodreads the other day and came up with 8 books I’d recommend to friends looking for a great read. There are longer lists out there, but those can be overwhelming. Most of my books come from sleuthing around on Goodreads. I have a handful of friends who are voracious readers and we have the same taste in genres.
It’s also helpful to read new release reviews on Amazon or to check out the NYT book lists. I also have had good luck finding recommendations at my local library.
Here’s the list…
1.The Tatooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris Another amazing book about World War II! This was so good though, in large part because it’s based on a true story. With such a unique role inside the concentration camps, the main character witnesses some unbelievable incidents and risks it all for his fellow prisoners. It’s a page turner!
2. The Woman in The Window by A.J. Finn You think you know how this will end, but you don’t! Soon to become a movie, I say read it now because the book is almost always better. This is just the thriller you need to distract your mind a bit.
3. Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris Total page turner! The truth is, you never know what goes on between couples behind closed doors. Creepy and riveting, I was drawn in right away. The ending is crazy good and will have you on the edge of your seat.
4. A Piece of The World The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid This book is the perfect beach vacation read. The hand-picked journalist who writes Evelyn’s story had me curious from the outset, and kept me reading all the way until the end. The final plot twist was well worth the wait!
6. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart I could not put this down. I loved the setting: a private island that serves as a summer enclave for a wealthy family. This tale of a multi-generational family is filled with drama, suspense, romance, and a plot that keeps you guessing.
7. The Velvet Hours by Alyson Richman Paris in World War II, yes, again…and so worth the read. I loved how this book skips generations and explores the relationship between grandmother and granddaughter. It’s a great reminder at how much we can learn from our ancestors in the past.
8. Circling the Sun by Paula McLain Raised in Kenya but of British descent, the main character is raised by her dad and the local tribe. Her challenges with love, family, and eventually flying will draw you in. I could not put it down.
