As some of you know, I am a huge fan of blue and white so it’s no coincidence that my latest room design features a lot of both.
For starters, I like to ground a room with a really good rug. When thinking about my blue and white bedroom mood board, I wanted one that would be both soft and comfortable underfoot as well as relatively easy to clean. I also love getting an actual frame for a bed if you can. If that’s not in your budget, go for an upholstered headboard like this. I also really like placing a chair in the corner of a bedroom if you can fit it. It can be nice to sit and put your shoes on or even read at night. I’ve included one below but I also like this one as well as this one.
After that, I think about dressers and bedside tables. The size of the dresser will be impacted by the size of the room as well as by the size of the closet. My son has a teeny closet, so he has a tall dresser like this. This also goes for your bedside table choice. My daughter has the one I’m sharing below because it has a lot of drawers and she needs the storage. If you don’t need storage you could go with something like this or this.
From there, you can fill in with accents you like. I like to use a wicker basket for laundry. You can check out my round-up of storage baskets here. Also, the lamp I’ve included below is a bit of a splurge, so if you are looking for more budget-friendly lamp options check out my guide to white table lamps here and my guide to blue table lamps here.
Decorating your bedroom and making it an oasis you can truly enjoy is worth the time. After all, we spend a lot of time in this part of our home!

Happy shopping!
