Coastal Casual Family Rooms
As many of you know, I am studying for my interior design certificate at RISD and having so much fun. I am learning a lot as well, and am starting to regularly design rooms via these mood boards. If you would like help with your own custom design, please reach out as I would love to help you. I give you a layout that will work as well as links to all of the sources.
In the meantime, here are two of my most recent family room mood boards. I’ve provided some pillow ideas for both, but here’s a reminder that I wrote this guide to finding great pillows on Etsy, so you may want to check it out! BOARD #1: COASTAL CASUAL
What I love about designing rooms is that you can fill them with economical pieces ranging up to pieces that are a bit of a splurge, and this room is no exception! For example, you may be surprised that the mirror is more expensive than the entertainment center. For a less expensive version of that mirror, you can click here.

BOARD #2: COASTAL CASUAL
This room features a well-loved sectonal finished off with some fabulous pillows. The seagrass coffee table adds a beachy feel, and you can never go wrong with a monogrammed piece of decor. The lamp was featured in my round-up of blue table lamps that you can read here. I almost always include a wicker basket in my designs, as you can tell from this post I think they are a really attractive way to store things.
