There are two things that can instantly change a space for short money: pillows and paint. Blue is one of my favorite colors to decorate with because it’s so versatile. I love that when it comes to pillows there are so many designer options out there. I am definitely partial to some of the smaller makers and design companies as opposed to big box retailers for pillows. The quality tends to be better, and they often have access to some gorgeous high end fabrics.

One question people often ask is what type of pillow closure is best, and that often comes down to preference. I personally love zippered pillows but I think it’s really important to do your homework and find places with good reviews for their craftsmanship. Zippers can be tricky and you just want someone who knows what they are doing. This pillow and this one are from shops I love and trust. I don’t mind envelope closures for indoor-outdoor pillows though.
