Neutral & Blue Family Room
Today I am sharing my neutral & blue family room design. Pairing neutrals with blues can give a family room a soft and inviting feeling while also maintaining a slight bit of formality. For this design, I started with this reasonably priced cream couch and went for bold pillows. I love this elephant print! I recently put together a guide to blue pillows which you can check out here. I forgot to include a side table for the lamp, but you can see a few of my favorites here.
We have a lot of debates about rugs at my house. My feeling is that generally your family will only be happy if the rug is comfy underfoot. There are a wide variety of soft and stylish rugs out there, this one shown is a but of a splurge but their products last forever.
The sofa would look great with this striped chair as well as this one and these two that I considered adding instead. I went for a more rustic coffee table and added a few personalized items (I’m a huge fan of monogrammed anything!).
I’m a big fan of this standing lamp and am actually going to buy it for my own house. I also considered this one but I like the gold.
