Happy 2013!

It’s a dreary Saturday, but there is no time like almost halfway through January to wish you all a Happy New Year from my blog to you.  I truly hope to write more and share more with you here in 2013.  I love this quote because it reminds me of something I would have done in college.    It appeals to my sense of humor and sense of adventure.  I think if I tried to dance on my table now I’d most likely throw out my back or tweak my neck, never mind crash into the chandelier. Hitting 40 has made me way more injury prone almost overnight!

One idea I’ve seen shared around that I think is wonderful as you start a fresh year is to create a memory jar to capture all of the good things that ARE going to happen to you in 2013.  I say that because what you think about, you bring about!  Here is one I found that I thought was well done:

Also, perhaps you need a motto for 2013!  A friend shared a wonderful mantra for 2013, and I’m adopting it too:

DO LESS, TAKE LONGER.

I love that!  How often are we cramming, rushing, stressing, and just not enjoying enough?  Something to consider for sure!

I hope this year is your best year ever!

By the way, if you haven’t already, pick up a copy of The Happiness Project to set you on your way towards a great 2013 filled with positive thoughts.  I can promise you this book won’t disappoint!  Let me know what you think!
