Making a DIY decoupage trinket dish is easy. The options for your design are endless. All you need are paper napkins, a dish, and Mod Podge.
Depending on what size you make, these are great for your jewelry, keys, or other knick knacks you want to corral in one place. I really like Caspari napkins because they have so many fantastic designs. I like this pattern, as well as this one, this one, and many more!
Here are the supplies you will need for this:
- Soap Dish or small dish. If you want something a little bigger you could go with this or something much longer like this.
- Mod Podge
- Napkins of choice
- Scissors, generally a small pair will work best for this
- Paint brush like this or use a small acrylic brush
You can see my creation in action below, or go right to the post on Instagram so you can save it for when you are feeling crafty. All of the instructions are explained in the post! The biggest tip I have is to carefully line up your napkin because once the Mod Podge is on it and you’ve attached it, adjusting it will cause it to tear.
Other things to know
+The type of Mod Podge you choose will be based on personal preference. You can go with a matte or a gloss, but I recommend using the dishwasher safe version if you think there’s a chance it will get wet.
+I definitely recommend letting your project dry overnight to ensure it all seals nicely.
