Wouldn’t it be nice to have an unlimited decorating budget to replace the items in your home that you don’t really like? My green couch is a perfect example of this scenario. It’s a story too long to tell here, but let’s just say I never expected it to end up as the focal point in my family room. Thankfully, it’s super comfortable, and we have it there because my kids love it for sleepovers. It unfolds into a comfortable queen sleeper, so makes a great spot for them to watch movies with their friends.
Knowing that I had to make it work, I thought about how I could make it look more stylish.
Here is Kermit-the-Green Couch before the makeover:
Since I know how to sew, I made the decision to buy some high-end fabrics for the pillows. I wanted to really bring more color into the room at the same time. Living on the North Shore of Boston, I’m a huge fan of Zimman’s, but also love Online Fabric Store.
If you don’t sew, my suggestions for finding affordable pillows in fun patterns would be: Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Wayfair, or One Kings Lane.
Additionally, I wanted a cozy blanket for watching T.V. I wanted something really soft, so I looked on Wayfair.
I absolutely love this blanket.
