As I said a few days ago, I believe the value of art is in the eye of the beholder. I don’t believe that you have to spend much money to make your walls look great. I remember my sheer disappointment when I saw the Mona Lisa hanging in The Louvre. Small, dark, and depressing. I mean it with all honesty that I would not be all that excited to have that dumpy woman starting out from my walls, be it original or a cheap reproduction from a museum shop. I love color and I love inspiration. Don’t get me wrong: I would love to own some fabulous original artwork someday, but for now, my home can look lovely without breaking the bank and so can yours!
Recently, I came across two sites, both of which sell their work on Etsy. I love Etsy because it supports local artists and consists of so many fun and unique items, often at very good prices.
The Pink Pagoda- glicee prints:
Here are a couple that I love…Hadley’s room is done in orange and pink. The elephant would look darling on her wall.
Wallfry: Fabulous art for the small fry in your life. Perfect for children’s bedrooms or your playroom! Based in Australia, he will ship quickly to you in the U.S.

I bought a series of three prints for Hadley’s room. I bought inexpensive white frames at Christmas Tree Shops for $5 each. I love their Nantucket line of white wooden frames. They are extremely sturdy for the price.
