What started out as a seemingly temporary fad is, in many cases, here to stay. Working from home is becoming a long-term reality for many of us. Does your current office set-up reflect that?

My friend from high school was just told by her employer that she never has to come back into the office! Personally, I love this shift towards a more open-minded working culture and feel it is long overdue. What this means is that your kitchen table or decrepit card table may have worked for several months in a pinch during the lockdown, but it’s time to upgrade about your work space. Taking the time to create a space that is uniquely you as well as practical and comfortable will go a long way.

My husband has an office outside of our home, but also needs a place to set up shop when he is here. This design was put together with him in mind. No two workers are alike; feel free to reach out if you’d like me to create a custom office mock-up for you!

1.LIVINGSTON WRITING DESK You need a good desk that is solidly built and fits proportionately well in your space. This one would be great for my husband. | 2. TASK CHAIR from Wayfair: I love the sleek look of this chair and it would tuck in nicely under the desk when you need it out of the way.| 3. DESK ORGANIZER Everyone needs a stylish catch-all for their papers, post-it notes, and more!| 4. DESK CLOCK Sure, you can just use your phone, but it can be nice to see the time right in front of you when you are on a call and it adds a little style to your desk top.| 5. ORRSTOWN DESK LAMP You definitely need good light to be productive. I am a fan of lights with arms so you can adjust them to closer as needed.| 6. SUCCULENTS OR FRESH PLANTS Studies have shown that plants lower stress and increase your attention span, and it’s nice to add a little green to your room.| 7. SET OF ACRYLIC FRAMES These clear frames add a clean look to your desk and are a great way to display photos of loved ones or friends!| 8. WIRE PENCIL CUP Pens need a home, and this holder goes nicely with the desk and desk organizer.| 9. DASH AND ALBERT AREA RUG We are setting my husband’s office up in the living room in a corner, and this would be nice for him to put his chair on. We have two of these herringbone rugs in a darker color in our house and we love them! | 10. A STORAGE BASKET is a great thing to have around for large envelopes and packages

What makes a great office for you?
