Neutral Home Finds
Hi Guys! I cannot believe it’s already August. In 6 weeks, I’ll be off and running with classes again. For those who don’t know, I am currently working on my interior design certificate at RISD! I’ll be taking a few software classes this Fall, focused on e-design creation. This will make me more confident and capable of laying out rooms for both myself and my clients. I’ve already had a peek into what this will look like. It turns out there are very specific things to think about with room flow and furniture placement. I’ve also taken some courses on color, which I loved. It’s fun to learn about complementary and contrasting fabrics when thinking about decorating a space. It’s amazing how quickly one pattern or shade can change the entire look and feel.
I’m starting to really want to (finally) tackle our family room update. As you know from some of my past posts like the blue table lamp round-up and my blue pillow post, I am pretty obsessed with blue, but for this room, I am really aiming to do more neutrals. This is a fairly broad selection of neutrals, covering beyond family room ideas, and I really love the bed. I’d probably pair that with white bedding and some more colorful throw pillows.
The couch comes in a variety of colors and is among the most comfortable I’ve sat on. I am a big fan of couches that are EASY to clean, and I would put this one in that category.
